Whats up every body, its been along time since I posted on my blog but can you blame me; with mvc3 , mortal kombat 9 and super street fighter 4 out, i’ve had no time for this kind of stuff.
With all these games out I had to drop one and that game was marvel. At first I liked marvel then little by little I started hating it, in reality I just didn’t like the fact that you with one overhead my character is as good as gone or that you basically have to drop the controller for 5 min when got in a combo and dont get me started on the xfactor.
Another problems would be my friends. These guys never improve and they believeA mashing j.light till they get a hit is fighting and if they win they think there gods and in reality I I just got bored but then I met these new guys at a barbershop one day they was talking about marvel and I went up to them asked them that if they wanna play me and this barbershop had a ps3 we just started doing fighting there.
Do you know that feeling you get after you lose and you lose by bullshit or srub tactics? we’ll guys that wasn’t the feeling I got that day. That day I had to call the cops on them, because I got raped. I didn’t get to win one.
So with my soul broken, I got my haircut ( with my salty face ) and went home, and after alot of thought I decided to get back into marvel with the sole reason of vengence.

There’s allot of things you can over look when you are creating a character, very little things, today I’ll show you an example in this blog post and how i fixed it. Also remember that this stuff is a very little trivial things.

sHi everyone, I’m back from my holiday vacation and I’m ready to keep on working on my game, First let me say that i finally created a name for my game its called its “all-star brawl”, its a week name but hey i like it.
So lets start talking about the new topic at hand, Cross-up attacks. Sakura has 2 cross-ups Jumping MK and Jumping HP. Jumping MK is her main programmed cross-up and funny how Jumping HP is more a fluke cross-up.
Before I start let me say a little rant.
For those that think I haven’t worked on this game trust me your completely wrong.
Working on a game is harder then people might think, when i was very active in the community I would see people finish a 6+ character game in less then a month and I would alway wonder how if they ever even tested the characters or there system.
In this blog post I’m going show you guys a couple of things I done with Sakura’s basic attack, balancing things has been kind of a bitch for my game but hey that’s what testing is for right. anyways I noticed also couple of things that i would like to share.
Now I know i did a whole blog post about her standing LP a couple of days ago but after some more testing I noticed a couple of things that i did not like and fixed today.
For one her light punched killed anything that came from the air, yes even the sun. This is a problem that had to be fix so I modified a couple of things, which I’ll show in a bit. Another problem i had was that attacks that looks like they should at least trade, did not and worst nothing happened. That was something I else did not like seeing so i had to fix that to.
Creating a basic attack is simple, but is more then just putting everything in a skill then saying it’s done, After creating my standing jab for my next character Sakura, I felt I had to explain everything I did in that simple script and maybe you guys can learn something from this. Also I’m assuming that you guys understand the Engine and the Editor.
